Who’s on When….

Following is a brief outline of who's on when and an introduction to our floor staff. You will note their special strengths are mentioned but know that on any given day expert knitting help is available for most problems. Come in for a quick fix or schedule a $25 private one on one session!!!!

Monday: Mary and Pat (a great day for lace help and knitting from graphs):

Pat Barwig has joined knitch on Mondays and will be seen teaching lace classes and wielding sharp needles with very fine yarn. Currently she is teaching the "Swallowtail Lace Shawl" which she is knitting on one of our new yarns, Lacy Lamb by Jade Sapphire. She is a prolific knitter who can teach you the tricks of lace and Fair Isle as well as solve any knitterly mystery.

Tuesday: Mary and Sue L (fine crochet help)

Wednesday: Mary, Susan Forbes, Kathleen (Magic Loop)

Susan Forbes is not technically NEW NEW but relatively new! Her strengths as a full scale fiber artist need to be mentioned for sure. She can field questions on dyeing, spinning, any sort of felting as well and machine knitting.

Thursday: Kathleen, Sue L, Sally (another crochet day)

Sally Sytsma, who has taught at recreation centers in Lake Country and has had her own after school knitting, has taken on floor hours on Thursdays afternoons. She has taught at knitch previously and will be doing so again starting in Oct with an after school program for 8 – 14 year olds. Sally will also be keeping the store open until 8 on the 1st and 3rd Thursday while After Hour Knitting is taking place from 5:30 to 8:30. Come keep her company and shop or knit – your pleasure!

Friday: Kathleen and Teri (crochet to be sure)

Teri Mitchum comes to us after retiring from Penzy’s. She will be working with Kathleen on Fridays and that gives us 3 days of Crochet help! Teri is also an avid knitter and quite capable of deciphering any problem with either needles or a hook!

Weekends: Jenni and Mary or Kathleen depending on weekend (socks on circs)

Though Jenni cannot help you with a sock monkey, she is the Queen of Socks at the store with knitting on two circulars being her preferred mode.
