Classes • Tunisian Crochet
Beginning
Some sources suggest this technique is a cross between knitting and crocheting and even think, that because such a simple tool - the hook - is used, it may be the forerunner of both knitting and crochet. This particular form of "crochet" produces a richly textured, wovenlike fabric. The technique will be taught by Sheryl Thies who has authored the book getting hooked on TUNISIAN CROCHET. Sheryl comes from Madison and has authored two other books on knitting projects and is working on her next Tunisian Crochet book.
No crochet experience necessary.
In this, the first of Cheryl's three workshops, you will learn the very basics of Tunisian Crochet and be able to make a place mat with the skills you learn upon leaving. You will not actually work on a project during the session. Size J Tunisian crochet hook required (available at knitch). Other supplies will be provided
Instructor: Sheryl Thies
