Classes • Felted Easter Basket
Felting wool is the process of taking a knitted wool fabric and tossing it in the washer to get batted about and shrunken down into a firmer and much smaller object. In essence, the hairs on the wool strands are raised in the hot water and the aggitation makes them grip on to each other and constrict the fibers. In this case you will first knit a larger basket and felt it down to a size that is just right for a wee hand at Easter or table decoration.
